Yvonne Derks
Postdoctoral researcher
Yvonne Derks studied Biomedical Sciences at the Radboud University, Nijmegen. She graduated cum laude in 2017 and did her PhD project at the department of Nuclear Medicine of the Radboudumc, resulting in the cum laude thesis entitled ‘PSMA ligands for imaging and therapy of prostate cancer'. From 2021-2024 she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging (ExMI) in Germany.
Yvonne is currently a fellow in the Faculty of Impact program, which trains young entrepreneurs who aim to have impact by starting their own businesses. She will further develop the PSMA ligands from her PhD to improve radioligand therapy for prostate cancer patients, within a Radboudumc spin-off called Aurelius Therapeutics
