Dennis Vriens
Dennis Vriens studied Medicine at the Radboud University of Nijmegen. In 2006, she graduated. In 2008 he started his PhD project “Quantitative Characterisation of Solid Tumours by FDG-PET” at the Department of Medical Imaging of the Radboudumc together with his residency in Nuclear Medicine. He performed a clinical research internship at the Technical University in Munich to gain experience with PET-MRI using choline and PSMA. He obtained his PhD in April 2016 and started working as a nuclear medicine physician in the Leiden University Medical Centre. In 2017 he obtained a ZonMW Veni grant and in 2024, he returned as senior nuclear medicine physician to the Radboudumc and staff scientist. His research and clinical focuses on quantitative imaging and dosimetry in solid tumours, mainly neuro-endocrine and head-and-neck, with special focus on sustainability of health-care (health technology assessment).
